We had to find a memory care facility for my sister. Oasis senior living partners  representative , Ann showed us several facilities. The Courtyard was last and we were immediately impressed  As impressive as the  first impression of the facility, their staff is what swayed us. My mom has been a resident in Memory Care at The Courtyard for the past 19 months, and my dad has lived in Assisted Living for the past year. Our family is incredibly grateful for the compassionate care, respect, and warm home environment that the staff at The Courtyard provide every day. While there are far too many wonderful team members to mention individually, I would like to express my deepest appreciation to Memory Care Director Serrenea Toops and caregivers Gloria Street and Taneshia Haskins. Whenever our family has concerns or questions, Serrenea responds promptly, listens with empathy, validates our concerns, and addresses issues with exceptional professionalism. What impresses me most is that despite her leadership role, she never hesitates to step in and assist residents and caregivers whenever needed. Gloria has a heart of gold and exemplifies the very best of caregiving. Her compassion, patience, and dedication to the residents are evident in everything she does. She is truly outstanding at what she does. Taneshia genuinely cares about the residents, brings positivity and laughter to their day, and has been an excellent communicator with our family. Her kindness and attentiveness have meant a great deal to us. Entrusting the care of aging parents to others is one of the hardest decisions a family can make. The Courtyard has given me peace of mind knowing that both of my parents are safe, cared for, and treated with dignity and compassion. For that, I will always be grateful.

Our family really appreciate the care and nurturing environment that is provided for my mother-in-law at The Courtyard.  From the front desk staff like Irene and Melanie, the front office people like Julie, to the servers like Katie and Erika, to the nurses like Jim, Stephanie and Holly, to the aides that do literally the heavy lifting like Marcia and Nancy - we appreciate them all.  There are more than this, but this is all the names I can remember - so I think that says a lot! They have a really good crew working there and the facility is beautiful. ***Update*** My mother-in-law has been in the assisted living wing for several years now. Most of the same people are still there caring for her. Two of the aids, Leonard and Jim, are her favorites. Nurses Vicki and Amy are always ready to help. My husband has only been at Courtyard 2 months so I don't have a lot of specific names to commend but our experience has been very positive.  Everyone goes out of their way to be friendly and helpful.  Concerns and questions are acted upon quickly and professionally. My parents are both residents at The Courtyard at Centerville and I have had such peace of mind knowing that they are well taken care of every single day. Serrenea made the transition for my mom to memory care so much easier on all of us, and has been a constant source of support. Her calm, happy demeanor instantly makes us all feel better. Tammy and Irene at the front desk are now familiar welcoming faces and are always willing to answer my questions. Alex has been fantastic with the logistics and transportation to get my dad to his medical appointments. All the nurses are great, but my parents definitely mention Chris, Matt, Bobby, and Courtney over and over again. I have appreciated Rose's nursing expertise in more than one medical situation and, as I have told her, I have come to think "oh good, Rose is taking care of him/her today" on many days! The aides provide consistent personal care and my dad would likely adopt Ashley if he could!  Emily is a gem in activities and is always coming up with fun things for residents to do. I have only good things to say about the Courtyard of Centerville. My mom is so happy there. The staff are all wonderful from the concierge to the nurses, housekeeping to the caregivers. UPDATED 9/14/26  Again the staff here is amazing.  Julie is ALWAYS helpful when i need help figuring something out that is not normal  The nurses, Holly, Vicky and Amber are very patient with my mother which can be challenging sometimes. I rest at night knowing she is safe and well taken care of. Tammy (receptionist) is always a joy when you walk in. She is always smiling an eager to help when needed. She get things done and takes charge..... I highly recommend the Courtyard.  From the moment I met Julie to tour the property and compete the paperwork until recently moving her in from out of state has been an incredible experience. They truly care about the experience for the family and the resident.  The place is beautiful and well maintained. The entire staff is incredible no matter who you are dealing with. The real test has been my mother whom I have not seen her this happy in a long time. THANK YOU COURTYARD STAFF FOR BEING SO GREAT.  Our experience has been nothing short of amazing….

If you are looking for a Memory Care facility for your loved one, I highly recommend The Courtyard at Centerville. Julie was wonderful to work with during the initial placement and helping with my mom’s transition. The facilities are beautiful, well-maintained, and I only wish I could have convinced my mom to move into the Assisted Living section prior to the need for Memory Care. If you have started the journey of caring for a loved one with dementia, you understand how important it is to find the best fit for their care when they are no longer to safely live on their own. Serrenea Toops, Memory Care Director, is beyond amazing at her job and has assembled the best team you can imagine. She goes above and beyond to make sure the residents have tons of activities to join and has a special knack for encouraging even the most-reluctant resident to participate! Don’t just take my word for it, check out their Facebook page – they update frequently with pictures of the activities and you can see how much time and care goes into the planning and how much they are enjoyed. The nurses and aides are all compassionate and caring and always made time for me when I needed an update on my mom’s care - thank you to each and every one of you! I truly felt that they knew my mom as a person, not just a resident. Dementia is a difficult journey, but Serrenea and her team helped me navigate it confidently, provided my mom with the best care possible, and I can’t imagine doing it without them.

My parents have been residents of Courtyard of Centerville since April and our experience has been very positive. The staff is wonderful, from the marketing personnel to the nursing and caregiving staff. Everyone has made my parents feel loved and cared for. I am confident that they care for them as I would. My father passed away in early November. Special thanks go to Chris, Kara, Kayla and Danesha for their exceptional support during his last days. And to Chris and Ashley who are loving my Mom through this difficult adjustment.
